The Interactions Project is built around five core designs that bridge art, science, and technology through a shared visual language.
Reimagined as art, sculptures, and installations, these designs have been placed in extraordinary locations on and beyond Earth. They orbited the planet aboard the International Space Station, descended into the Hadal zone as the world’s deepest art installation, and in 2025, will make a permanent mark on the Moon — creating an unprecedented creative imprint across the extremes of human reach.

The Interactions Project - FIVE DESIGNS · ONE LANGUAGE
The Interactions Project began with a simple idea — that everything in our world, no matter how tiny, vast, or complex, and everything we draw from for our beliefs, art, and technology, arises from the same nine fundamentals of existence: creation, life cycles, shape, colour, movement, direction, energy, space, and time.
All of this, existence itself, unfolds through interactions between materials, people, and ideas as they evolve over time. These connections shape everything we know — hence the name Interactions.
Created as a visual language, the project brings together five designs that weave these nine elements into a universal expression of connection — something that speaks to everyone, across cultures and disciplines, reflecting the patterns that unite everything.
What began as a quiet vision in the studio has now journeyed across the greatest extremes of human reach:
2022 – Space:
The journey began in orbit, aboard the International Space Station with the Moon Gallery, circling the Earth and flying over every city on the planet.
2023–24 – Deep Ocean:
From space, it descended into the unknown — becoming the world’s first and deepest art installation, placed 7 kilometres beneath the Pacific Ocean in the Hadal Zone, in collaboration with the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC), NuStar Technologies, and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore.
2026 – Moon
Three artworks from the Interactions Project will journey to the Moon with the Moon Gallery, completing a cycle that unites the three greatest frontiers of human exploration — space, the deep ocean, and the lunar surface.
Urban Installations:
Back on Earth, Interactions continues to evolve, finding new forms in cities it once orbited — each one infused with the creative DNA of its surroundings while retaining the project’s distinct imprint.
An example is the installation at Suntec City, displayed on the world’s largest HD screen, which embodies the same five designs — a living expression of connection and continuity that bridges art, science, and humanity.

Elements & Symbolism: Nine existential elements, infinite interpretatioNs
The nine elements come together through five universal symbols — visual frameworks that embody these ideas and give them form. Each symbol reflects a different facet of how we perceive the world and our place in it.
CREATION
The balance of opposites gives rise to new beginnings — symbolised through the Flower (cyclical energy) and the Arrow (direction and time). Across cultures, creation is seen as the harmony of contrasts: male and female, night and day, light and shadow. The Interactions Series captures this duality through the Flower, representing renewal, and the Arrow, the passage of time. Each of the five designs pivots around a central axis — the timeless point of creation from which everything begins.

LIFECYCLES
Every ending is a beginning — each artwork in the Interactions Series is drawn in a single, continuous line, beginning and ending at the same point. It becomes a symbol of completion, renewal, and infinity — an unbroken flow that mirrors the rhythm of birth, existence, and dissolution, where every ending gives rise to a new beginning.
SHAPE
Geometry is the language of form — circles, triangles, squares, and spirals act as bridges between philosophy and science, mirroring the structures of both nature and thought. Through these fundamental shapes and their relationships, the five designs in the Interactions Series explore deeper ideas:
- the Singularity of self (represented by the central point in rotational geometry)
- the Duality of complementary interdependence (observed in the negative and positive spaces)
- the Trinity of creation, preservation, and destruction (depicted by three-sided triangles in the Interactions designs)
- the Quaternity of directional dimensions (defined by the square bounds in each Interactions time slice)
- the Plurality of our beliefs (embodied in the circular form created through rotational geometry)
- the Infinity of Space (illustrated by the lifecycle Interactions line)
COLOUR
Perception changes everything — each of the five designs follows triads of the colour wheel, where shifts in hue transform both form and meaning. The direction of light alters these perceptions further, dividing the works into two groups: Interactions, illuminated by an external source, and Interactions Inverse, lit from within. Through these variations, the artworks reveal how light and colour change not only what we see, but how we perceive and interpret the world around us — highlighting the infinite ways meaning is shaped through perception.
MOVEMENT
Symbols of flow and choice in life — from the gestures we make to the orbits of planets, everything is in constant motion. The Interactions Series captures this dynamic energy through the motif of arrows, freezing movement into a single moment in time. Each arrow reflects both direction and decision, echoing the patterns of change that shape our understanding of the world.
DIRECTION
As we perceive it, time flows forward — arrows trace the shift between day and night, marking the rhythm that defines change and perception. In the Interactions artworks, they embody both direction and the interplay of opposites, guiding the eye through transformations of space and form. Each arrow becomes a visual compass — with the five designs themselves acting as slices of a single moment of interaction.
ENERGY
Infinite, unbounded, and essential to existence — energy is the invisible force made visible. Along with space and time, it forms the foundation of everything we know. In the Interactions artworks, energy radiates from a central point, transforming into visible motion and rhythm — a powerful creative force that connects all things.
SPACE
Positive and negative, crest and trough — space is shaped by the balance of opposites. Like the rise and fall of a wave, one cannot exist without the other. In the Interactions paintings, the dialogue between positive and negative space defines each form — a visual reflection of equilibrium and interdependence.
TIME
Moments become stories — arrows mark the transition from day to night, capturing the passage of time as patterns. This rhythm is bound to symbolic numbers within the paintings: twelve hours of day and night, seven days, eight directions, and twelve months. Each artwork becomes a slice of time — a single moment held still within the eternal flow.
