The Moon Gallery is an international collaborative of ideas worth sending to the Moon, the seeds of a new culture for future interplanetary society. An initiative to connect Art, Moon, Mars and beyond, it hopes to bring the best of humanity to the Moon and the benefits of the Moon to all people on Earth through a sustainable exploration process: a way to reboot culture, rethink our values for better living on planet Earth. The Moon Gallery would contain ideas we want to leave behind and promote into the future that convey universal values which will serve as seeds of a future interplanetary culture. As humanity expands into the solar system art will become the language of inclusivity and diversity.
The Gallery will launch 100 artefacts comprising 100 micro, highly concentrated ideas from around the world integrated within the compact format of a 10cm x 10cm x 1cm plate on a lunar lander exterior panelling. It is the first extra-terrestrial art gallery that flew in Low Earth orbit aboard the ISS for close to a year and aims to reach the Moon by 2025-26 |
