While designing the interiors of Tulip Mobile’s Copenhagen office between 2004 and 2005, Lakshmi also created a series of handmade lamps and fixtures specifically for the space. Influenced by the clean lines and understated elegance of Nordic design, each piece was crafted with close attention to detail. Much of her time was devoted to designing and sourcing furniture that complemented the lamps and brought coherence to the interior. Although Copenhagen offered relatively few sunny days, it provided abundant opportunities to experience Scandinavian art, design and culture, all of which enriched her creative journey.
